Borangu Drums are a set of two oversized wooden drums, covered with a membrane of animal hide. They are approximately 1.2 m in height and diameter, and 3.7 m in circumference.
The drum player pounds on the with two large fur-covered sticks. A person needs endurance and a strong back to play these drums, since it takes considerable strength to do so. This instrument can be played by itself or in conjunction with an assembly of another variety of drums, which makes the rhythms even more astounding.
